British Street Food Awards. South East Heat.

Who should you vote for?

Right, this was especially tricky, but here goes. My top 3 traders for today’s South East Heat:

1. Little Blue Smokehouse
MEAT and HEAT. Their selection of smoked meats and slaws is enough to quell anyone’s carnivorous cravings. Pair this with a generous helping of homemade hot sauce, ranging in levels suited for the brave, to the REALLY brave, and the results are bloomin’ delicious, every time. Oh and did I mention their pickled beetroot? You have to try it!

2. The Trolls Pantry
A vote for the heavyweight in this bout, but it has to be done really! The Troll’s appetite for local, seasonal ingredients and his attention to detail when creating each of a wide range of incredible burgers has already landed him in national burger competitions. And rightly so!

3. Olly The Chef
Relatively new to the Street Diner scene in comparison to the other two, Olly brings the catch of the day for his fish subs, paired with his own homemade sauces, salad and a slice of lemon. Unbelievably fresh and a must for all fish fans!

Also, a shameless plug for my other favourites because they deserve your votes too!

Likkle Bickle
The Ribwich. One of my favourite wiches! Likkle Bikkle does ribs like no one does them, in a bun! With some seriously good flavour combinations (and constantly creating more!). A must have for, well, everyone!

Honeycomb Cakes
A personal favourite of mine. You know you need a sugar fix! And Honeycomb Cakes are for you, all of you! From brownies to cakes to cheesecake to ice cream and every combination of the above that you can think of they have them all! And they’re all more delicious than you could have imagined!
